
Caregiver Support Group Provides Much Needed Relief
The Caregiver Support Group meets weekly on Friday at 10 a.m. in Doral.
The support group is led by Guadalupe Rodriguez, a highly experienced licensed clinical social
worker. She is dedicated exclusively to assisting family caregivers of frail elderly and disabled adults.
The Free caregiver support group is offered in Spanish and English and
provides a counseling, supports and community resources made possible by United HomeCare®.
The Caregiver Support Group participants benefit from a time of respite given that they are the individuals who provide care for chronically ill, disabled or aged family member or friend.
Caregivers turn to the Support Group as a place to rest, unwind and talk with people who understand caregiver challenges and listen with the heart.
Guadalupe Rodriguez’ is a true professional with the unique capacity to hold the hands of family caregivers as they share their experiences with the group and learn to navigate the aging network. With over 20 years of expertise in Geriatric Counseling and Social Work, Guadalupe strives to relieve

caregiver burden, enhance caregiving skills and
build capacity to manage caregiving responsibilities. Her expertise in counseling older
adults and their family members is vital to individuals who are caring for a loved one
with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
